PM Modi Slovakia Highest Honor: સ્લોવાકિયાએ વડાપ્રધાન નરેન્દ્ર મોદીને તેમના સર્વોચ્ચ નાગરિક સન્માન 'ધ ઓર્ડર ઓફ ધ વ્હાઇટ ડબલ ક્રોસ (ફર્સ્ટ ક્લાસ)' થી સન્માનિત કર્યા છે. સ્લોવાકિયાના રાષ્ટ્રપતિ પીટર પેલેગ્રિનીએ તેમને આ પુરસ્કાર એનાયત કર્યો, જેનાથી આ કોઈપણ દેશ દ્વારા પ્રધાનમંત્રી મોદીને આપવામાં આવેલો 33મો આંતરરાષ્ટ્રીય સન્માન બન્યો. ઓર્ડર ઓફ ધ વ્હાઇટ ડબલ ક્રોસ (ફર્સ્ટ ક્લાસ) એ સ્લોવાક રિપબ્લિકનું સર્વોચ્ચ રાજકીય સન્માન છે. આ એવોર્ડ સ્લોવાકિયાના રાષ્ટ્રપતિ દ્વારા વિદેશી મહાનુભાવોને આપવામાં આવે છે. આ પુરસ્કાર એવા વિદેશી નેતાઓ અને વ્યક્તિત્વોને આપવામાં આવે છે જેમણે સ્લોવાકિયા સાથે મૈત્રીપૂર્ણ સંબંધોને મજબૂત બનાવવામાં ઉત્કૃષ્ટ યોગદાન આપ્યું છે અને દેશના વિદેશ નીતિના હિતો અને આંતરરાષ્ટ્રીય પ્રતિષ્ઠાને પ્રોત્સાહન આપવા માટે નોંધપાત્ર સમર્થન આપ્યું છે.

સ્લોવાકિયા દ્વારા સર્વોચ્ચ સન્માન પ્રાપ્ત થવા પર પ્રતિક્રિયા આપતા પીએમ નરેન્દ્ર મોદીએ કહ્યું કે બ્રાતિસ્લાવામાં ઓર્ડર ઓફ ધ વ્હાઇટ ડબલ ક્રોસ (ફર્સ્ટ ક્લાસ) પ્રાપ્ત કરીને મને સન્માનિત અનુભવ થઈ રહ્યો છે. ભારતના 1.4 અબજ લોકો વતી આ સન્માન માટે હું સ્લોવાકિયાના લોકો અને સરકારનો આભારી છું. હું આ પુરસ્કાર ભારત અને સ્લોવાકિયા વચ્ચેની અતૂટ મિત્રતાને સમર્પિત કરું છું.
